Quickstep
A small figure made its way haltingly through the dark forest. Each step was carefully planned and completely silent. Though he knew he was alone, the thought of someone running into him sent a ripple of displeasure through him. Tonight was not a night for error.
The young tom could almost see the cat he so desperately searched for. It had been days since he had last been able to slip away long enough to actually watch his younger brother. A malicious smile swept across his features and he didn't bother to hide it. What was the use?
Finally he drew to a halt, sitting gracefully with his tail wrapped around him. Malicious yellow eyes fixed hatefully on his quarry: Addrestrike. His younger brother was seething, pacing back and forth in front of the training rock, unsheathed claw gouging at the ground. Quickstep watched with interest. Though his brother denied it forcefully, he was far more evil than he thought, this just proved it.
Adderstrike would walk among them soon enough. Another smile swept over the tom's features. Adderstrike would pay and soon.

Brokenstorm What Quickstep didn't seem to notice was that one other cat was wandering the Dark Forest as well, his large paws moving soundlessly over the mist covered ground. He had been there for so long he had learned to not make a sound, hide his presence in the ethereal undergrowth and winding his way through the trees. They reached so high no lighting could get through, no stars could be seen, and the sky was pitch black for what little opening could actually be seen. It was ominous, dark, and eerie for any cat who first arrived there or joined their ranks from the living. His yellow-green eyes turned towards the thickly covered canopy, a part of him wishing to feel the sun on his pelt again, to feel the open ground beneath his paws. But he was doomed to forever walk the darkest of places any cat who believed in Starclan could go. And it was all because of Windclan, the clan that he had been devoted to, had fought for, made sacrifices for, and they had always denied him what was rightfully his, what he had spent moons working for. Brokenstorm would forever hold regret for leading Bloodclan to his camp but they had needed to be taught a lesson, but he too should have been smart enough to think Bloodclan could have been trusted. A soft growl left him at the memory of the rogue's claws tearing into him and the bite to his neck that had ultimately killed him...Shaking the memory off, the streamlined brown and tan cat looked forward as he found himself in one of the clearings and turning to take another path. But he stopped when he saw the black and white small form of another cat. He recognized it belonging to the young Moorclan cat Quickstep, having made his mission to ensure he knew the cats of the Dark Forest, or those loyal to his leadership. Least the ones who acted like it. Stepping soundlessly towards the younger tom, Quickstep wouldn't realize he was no longer alone before Brokenstorm was pretty much next to him, " Problems with siblings I see. I remember mine quite well, I had to let Riverclan sadly get them out of my way but sacrifices must always be made when it comes for the good of your clan." Brokenstorm spoke, staring down at the dappled warrior who possibly would someday join their ranks. But there was sometimes that sliver of a chance a cat could redeem themselves and go to Starclan. As if such a thought crossed his mind, the brown and tan tom looked ahead for a long moment, knowing he could never make it into the ranks of Starclan and reek havon on the ones who made his own life a living hell. In his view at least. " Your revenge shall come soon enough Quickstep. But Moorclan will soon fall itself so you must remain vigilant to not allow your personal anger ruin our plans." Brokenstorm said smoothly, a small hint of a warning to the younger cat to watch how he stepped. Tags:BrightstarNotes: Just because these two are technically from the same clan of sorts I felt Brokenstorm should make an appearance and troll Quickstep XD

Quickstep
"Problems with siblings I see. I remember mine quite well, I had to let Riverclan sadly get them out of my way but sacrifices must always be made when it comes for the good of your clan."
The tom jumped as a voice intruded upon his thoughts. Quickstep's head shot up and he rose from his crouch, only to see the One standing there. The faded feline, still tensed, slowly relaxed back into a crouch. He had admired Brokenstorm from the moment he had first set paw in the Dark Forest, but that didn't mean he wasn't still wary. Brokenstorm spoke so calmly and without a hint of remorse as he mentioned his siblings. It was both unnerving and inthralling to listen to him speak.
He chose not to respond to the male as he approved to become lost in thought, but he could not remain so. "Your revenge shall come soon enough Quickstep. But Moorclan will soon fall itself so you must remain vigilant to not allow your personal anger ruin our plans." The faded tom was taken aback by the statement and resentment began to fill him. Who was Brokenstorm to say when his revenge would be enacted? He had waited moons to finally destroy his brother and all he could say was to remain vigilant and to not allow his anger to ruin their plans? It took Quickstep a moment to recognize the wisdom of the statement. Moorclan would indeed meet its end very soon if all went well. He bowed his head in respect, his voice a low rasp as he spoke, "I would never do something that would endanger your plans, my revenge will come soon enough." He recited the words dully without a flicker of emotion, still wary of what the tom might do to him if he didn't comply.
Quickstep cast his gaze over his brother once more before turning back to Brokenstorm. "But, may I ask, when do you plan on enacting your plan?"

Brokenstorm Quickstep being startled didn't surprise the older tom, knowing sometimes he tended to have that effect much less having learned the art in moving soundlessly there. When one had been in the Dark Forest for enough seasons they tended to learn the secrets and ways of the darkness. Whether it involved sneaking about or using it to hide in the shadows where only their eyes were visible mattered not. But it was what Brokenstorm also took a thrill in since it further added to his fearful, dominating rule of the Dark Forest as the One. But he watched the tom closely for a moment, listening to his emotionless tone as he spoke of assuring him he would in a sense be patient. But Brokenstorm knew better. Many cats were restless and wanted their revenge, they hated waiting and seeing ample opportunities to enact their attack but he continued to make them wait. " I understand your impatience to end things as quickly as possible Quickstep, but I have spent many a season planning and waiting, watching the clans carefully. I should remind you though, if you had remained alive you would have been caught up in this as well." The former Windclan cat reminded him, sitting down and wrapping his long tail over his paws. He cast a final glance at the dappled warrior, speaking without looking at the tom. " Once Rat accomplishes his part of our plan and when we get more descent among the clans. It won't take long though, I can already feel that tension is growing and the end of the clans will be assured." He assured the young tom flashing a look of wicked glee at looking forward to seeing the horror on the clan cats' faces when they realized old enemies would be coming back and cats of the four original clans were still very much alive. " It is why you and some of the other cats walk among them my young friend. After the coming Gathering Viperclaw has already made plans to start more issues and he should be getting with you within the near future." Brokenstorm added as he looked at the tom at last before standing. " I would prepare myself for what will come Quickstep, our plans will happen but an outcome is never guaranteed." Brokenstorm advised, turning to leave but also giving a hint that the prophecy they had given didn't mean utter victory. Tags:Brightstar Notes:---
