Creampaw
Tags: None Yet
As the light of dawn slowly creeped into camp, it wasn't long before the rays reached the nursery. The previous night had been quite a cold one, and had many a cats huddling together. In one bed of the nursery lie three cats, two females and a male, two kits an an apprentice. Wait, an apprentice? That was actually normal, especially in the past few weeks. It had been almost two moons since the death of her own littermate, since she had received two important surprises.
If one were to look at Creampaw just two moons ago, and then see her today...they would be completely baffled. This she-cat had gone from being reckless and troublesome, constantly aggravating others...to being....motherly. Yes, she still could be troublesome and knew how to aggravate others but at this point it wasn't with as much malice as it once was. She felt like she belonged more. The two kits brought to her, had literally become her kits. As far as they were concerned and anyone else, she was their mother. They were not her brother and sister, they were her kits. Her sister had brought them to her and had trusted her with them, wanting exactly this to happen. And if she could do one thing, one last request from her sister, she had done it.
Her whole life now revolved around the kits. Her training wasn't put on hold, she just trained when she could. It would probably mean that the kits would be apprentices before she became a warrior, but that was fine with her. They needed her, and she didn't absolutely need to be a warrior. Creampaw had not necessarily moved into the nursery full time, but she and the kits spent their time in the nursery. She wasn't going to take them to the apprentice area, it wasn't as protected as the nursery and Creampaw was nervous to have them not protected. It was her job to protect them and leaving them in the open at such a young age was not a bright idea.
What Creampaw did not expect was the bond she had formed with the kits. They were always with her, constantly by her side and her little mini-mi was always trying to sneak out of camp. Aspenkit was just like her, and it somewhat scared her. Hopefully she wouldn't be as reckless and get hurt. She loved the two kits like no one else could imagine, and was highly protective of them just like any queen would be. One of the other queens in the nursery had been nursing the two kits, and now Creampaw was finally able to give them fresh-kill. It took quite a bit of effort, and coaxing, but they would eat if she could get it into smaller pieces. After all, it was their only way of surviving. The milk from the queen had dried up, and Creampaw was left alone.
With a yawn, the off-white furred apprentice slowly stretched her paws as she awoke. The two little bundles of fur were nestled deep in her fur. This is how she woke up every morning, and she found herself smiling. Not too long after she woke up, she felt something stirring beside her. Looks like the kit who really could be her daughter (if we were to go on looks and personality) had decided she had slept enough. Aspenkit had blinked her eyes up and now was grinning. Creampaw gave the kit a quick lick on the head before motioning with her head to go out of the nursery. Grabbing the tom by the scruff, she made her way outside, with Aspenkit right on her paws. Today was the day she would introduce the kits to the clan, let them really see what went on each day. Her brother was still fast asleep, but Aspenkit was awake and alert, already bouncing eagerly on her paws. She was especially excited to show them where she normally slept at night, before they came along, and where they would be sleeping in the near future.

Thymepaw/Wintersong It would likely be no surprise that when Creamoaw, Aspenkit, and Sedgekit were to come out that the camp was already bustling with activity as usual. Cats were getting ready for late morning patrols and some were coming back, either from hunting or border patrol. Clan life was always busy and the cats of Sunclan seemed to be thriving with a bit of tension hanging over them thanks to recent events but there was nothing overly bad going on yet that required them to stop what they were doing but keep going on as normal. One apprentice was likewise awake and moving, his long legged, lithe form trotting towards the fresh-kill pile with a decently large squirrel in his jaws that he dropped at the pile. Thymepaw seemed quite proud of himself for a decent catch, having brought back a few mice as well and his brown colored tail curled to show his excitement. He always liked hunting for his clan and ensuring they were well fed despite it still being greenleaf and the clan didn't really have anything to worry about in terms of prey. But it never hurt to be prepared. Though as he turned to get some prey for the elders he paused as he saw movement from the nursery and saw his former denmatw Creampaw coming out with her two younger siblings. Since their arrival she has moved to the nursery to act as their mother which is why right now she wasn't his den mate at the moment. Bounding over the white and brown apprentice soon stopped with shining eyes, " Hey it's true! Aspenkit really does look like you." He said before giving an amused twitch of his whiskers, " Maybe Emberstar should make her the next Creampaw a few moons from now." He joked with her but otherwise showed some excitement to see Sunclan was growing from clan cats rather than rogues or loners like Rat recently. But he turned his head as someone else padded over, the paw steps coming from the long haired gray and white she-cat Wintersong who showed some curiosity of her own. " Yes they will make fine warriors. If both decide to go down such a path." Wintersong agreed with a soft purr. Despite the kits being half-clan her brother had brother had been fair with Creampaw and her family, most likely because she was still his apprentice. Creampaw
Tags: @tundra Other: Not a problem, all are welcome!
It was nice to see that despite being raised by Creampaw the two kits were thriving. Not too long ago Creampaw herself had been consistently in trouble for one thing or another. She was always driving everyone insane and it seemed like she was consistently punished for her troublesome ways. Having to take on the responsibility of kits had settled down this apprentice, which no one would have guessed would happen. Creampaw had been quite wild and rambunctious, and close to reckless. But lately she had been thinking before rushing into things and was cautious about everything. It had been a struggle for the first quarter moon, but now it seemed as if Creampaw had it down. The she-cat knew that Sedgekit would be fine if she left him laying by himself, and knew that Aspenkit was the one to keep her eyes on. The kit was already showing similar traits to herself and that was the scariest part for the young apprentice.
It was only when she heard the greeting of a fellow apprentice that she looked up. Looking to Aspenkit, then back to Thymepaw she nodded. "I know, it's actually funny. I thought that by now her fur would darken a little like my littermate's did when we were kits, but it looks like she is really gonna stay looking like me." She chuckled at the thought. And laughed at the statement Thymepaw made. Aspenkit, the new her? The clan would never be bored, that's for sure. "Let's just hope she doesn't have my knack for causing trouble."The grin wide on her face as she spoke. But it could be fun if Aspenkit really did turn out just like her....Could the clan really handle two of them?
Creampaw's attention shifted once again at the set of new pawprints. What Wintersong said was true though, if they both didn't want to be warriors like herself, she wasn't going to push them. She wanted them to have the freedom of doing what they wanted. She was given that choice to be able to choose her clan, so why shouldn't they get to choose what they wanted to do? Although she probably could guess Aspenkit would follow in her pawsteps, she never could be sure. Just because they looked alike, she didn't want others to pressure her into being just like Creampaw. "They can go down whatever path they want, and they will still be my kits. I made a promise, and I plan on keeping it. They are all I have left in my family, and I won't let them down."she was more or less convincing herself at this point. Speaking of Aspenkit....
Aspenkit
The kit was huddled into Creampaw’s fur, not knowing these new cats, and trying to bury herself as far away as possible. Aspenkit could guess that the one cat was an apprentice like her mother, but she couldn't quite figure out the new one. Her eyes peeked out from her sister’s paws (which she was currently hidden under since her sister was sitting) as she heard a new voice and she blinked at Wintersong. She let out a yawn and looked up to Creampaw. Maybe she would do all the talking, since she was still a little on the sleepy side. Her mind hadn’t even thought of any troublemaking yet.
But she was slightly curious about the new cats, being out of the nursery for the first time was quite exciting, and she couldn't believe her brother was still asleep! How could he still sleep when there was so much going on and so much to do? The miniature version of Creampaw slowly crept from her mother's paws and blinked at Thymepaw. Her curious side was starting to creep out, as she was waking up slowly and she showed no fear walking up to him and looking up. "Who you?" she sleepily mewed, curious at the new cats. She then proceeded to do the same to Wintersong, prodding the warrior with a curious paw and repeating her question.

Wintersong Wintersong looked towards Creampaw with amusement visible in her eyes. From what she had heard from those who came and went near the nursery to check on the kits or give the queens their meal Aspenkit already looked like she would be another Creampaw. Though she had a feeling it was likely there was nothing wrong with that. “ Maybe a little rambunctious activities will keep this place lively you two.” She told the two apprentices, glancing back at the clan that seemed to be acting normal but there was still tension. It made her frown with worry since a clan on edge would eventually be picked up by everyone which concerned the long furred she-cat. Turning back to the young cats as Aspenkit began poking at her paw with curiosity, she simply gave a small smile towards the still sleepy kit. “ My name is Wintersong little one, and that furball there is Thymepaw.” She introduced, showing some joy in seeing the kits hadn’t noticed the tension and weren’t trying to bombard anyone with questions. But she couldn’t help giving a subconscious flick of her ear in Creampaw’s direction at her words. Though it was true the two siblings could follow any path they wanted they still had to be careful what that path was. There was many in this world and some could have repercussions, which she bit back Creampaw was lucky to have avoided much less her younger siblings. Though in speaking of siblings…Wintersong turned as her own brother’s scent drifted into the hollow, turning towards the old fallen pine near High Point where her brother was pushing his way out of his den. Emberstar looked disheveled and frustrated, and come to think of it this was rare for him to wake up so late. But the long furred tom shook himself to push aside any sleep and began to thoroughly groom himself seeming to suddenly become aware of how unkempt he really looked. “ I’ll be back, stay out of trouble you three.” Wintersong told them, casting a teasing look towards them before she bounded across the clearing to see to Emberstar. He may be leader now but he was still her younger brother. Thymepaw “ I’m sure someone will be able to keep up with her as Emberstar keeps up with you. Though think no one is surprised he took you under his paw, thin you two have more energy than the whole camp combined.” Thymepaw said, letting out a mrrow of laughter since a lot of people seemed not so eager to join the duo on patrol. The reddish ginger tom and cream colored she-cat were bursting with energy and add Aspenkit to the mix, the thought was amusing. Even he could imagine Emberstar taking on an enemy patrol with the two fully grown cream-colored she-cats flanking him and no one being able to distinguish one from the other. The confusion that would bring was even more amusing, something seen in Thymepaw’s curled tail and amused smirk. But he came back to reality when he heard Aspenkit mew something, realizing she was asking him and Wintersong who they were. “ Like Wintersong said I’m Thymepaw, nice to meet you finally Aspenkit.” The young tom greeted, showing excitement in his eyes once more to see that the sleepiness was leaving the young cat and she seemed to be finding her adventurous spirit. Though his attention was drawn to Wintersong leaving them, curiously seeing where she was going until he saw Emberstar who looked to be not himself. Whatever it was Thymepaw simply shrugged it off and turned back to the family. “ You know Creampaw, if you ever need a break I can always entertain the kits sometime, it’ll be a while before I’m a warrior too.” He offered to her knowing sometimes queens needed a break, if even temporary ones. The two weren’t close friends but they were still denmates and clanmates so it only seemed right to offer the help. Tags:dylanNotes: Figured I'd slip Emberstar a cameo

Creampaw
Tags: @tundra Other: Aww, these two should totally be friends. XDD He's so sweet I want to snuggle him. Creampaw sighed as she looked down at Aspenkit. This kit definitely kept her on her paws. So when the little kit began to move and squirm around, she knew it was only the beginning. But she couldn't help grinning at Aspenkit's sleepiness. The little kit was trying her best to wake up, but she just couldn't. Then again, it didn't take anytime for her to go from half-asleep to wide awake. She kept her eyes on the she-kit, not knowing where she was going, and also knowing that the kit was fast for being only two moons. Aspenkit could dart out at any moment and head for the outside. Thankfully the kit was only curious about the new cats and even spoke to them. Good for her Creampaw thought.
The apprentice's attention was shifted from Aspenkit, who was too curious about Thymepaw to do anything troublesome, to Wintersong. "Me, trouble? I have no idea what you are talking about." Creampaw joked, as the other she-cat left. And when her eyes wandered to where she was going, she spotted Emberstar. Her paws ached to train, but she was needed elsewhere now. Besides, Emberstar had enough on his paws for now. Maybe taking a short break would be beneficial for the both of them. He could focus more on the clan, rather than training her...at least until the kits were slightly older.
Once again, Creampaw couldn't help but grin, this time from Thymepaw. "I hope so. And I'm glad he is my mentor, I couldn't have picked a better one for myself. He just gets me...and trust me, that is something that few do. I can be myself around him, and it's nice. Although, I don't think we have that much energy." she said, quickly glancing to Aspenkit, then back to the tom. "Lately all my energy is put into these two, and keeping up with this one here just about wears me down." It was true, keeping up with Aspenkit was always a challenge. By the end of the day, she was glad when the kits settled down and she could sleep. Who would have thought that she would enjoy sleep...or almost run out of energy. It was getting harder and harder for her to get them to take at least one nap, although she had found an easy way to get Aspenkit to nap, bribery.
Creampaw blinked her green eyes at Thymepaw and looked slightly shocked. Someone would want to help with the kits? "I don't want to trouble you. The clan needs warriors, and if you are helping me out, even for just a moment...I appreciate the offer, I don't want you to fall behind, we are already down one apprentice." Sure, she felt guilty that she was making the clan lose an apprentice, but she had be reassured many times that she was being helpful and that others could pick up the slack with the apprentice duties...after all she had been good at getting quite a bit done with her boundless energy.
Aspenkit
Aspenkit's gaze was on Wintersong, the entire time the she-cat spoke. She studied the she-cat for a bit before nodding. Okay, she could remember that...Wintersong. She seemed nice, maybe they could play sometime. But she was headed out before any questions could be asked. The kit followed Wintersong's movement, blue eyes curious as to where she was going. She saw her go to another cat, one that Aspenkit recognized. Mama had showed her that one! That was Creampaw's mentor, Emberstar.
As her sister spoke with the other cat, Thymepaw, Wintersong had said, Aspenkit began to get bored. She trotted back to Creampaw for a moment, to see what her brother was up to, but sighed when she saw that he was still sleeping. Maybe she could just pounce on him and wake him up. She crouched down low, wiggling her bottom as she tried to balance herself and began to leap on her brother, but she stopped mid air. She was flying! This was awesome she had the power to fly! That was until she opened her eyes and saw her bottom was back on the ground. Aww! Creampaw had caught her. She pouted as she saw Creampaw's stern glance, and then went right back to talking with Thymepaw. How did she do that? Did her mother have a special power that told her when Aspenkit was going to try and do something she shouldn't?
This was boring! Why did Creampaw have to bring her out here if she couldn't explore? Maybe if she stayed within eyesight she could find something to do. The kit began her trek, mewling with joy when she found a mossball. Finally something to play with!

Thymepaw Thymepaw simply chuckled as he watched Creampaw stop Aspenkit from pouncing on her brother, no doubt preventing the two from starting a scuffle and disturbing others. It was actually amusing but he made sure not to say so or otherwise bring the wrath of even a temporary queen on himself. " Oh come on Creampaw, don't you remember? Being an apprentice also means we help the queens even temporary ones." Thymepaw pointed out as if this should be obvious. Sure Creampaw put all her energy into the kits but that didn't mean she could watch them all the time. He had even seen some of the past queens need a break once in a while and even the warriors had been willing to offer it seeming as some mothers had a few more kits than even Creampaw was handling. But he briefly watched Aspenkit, curious to see what she was doing and noticed she found a mossball. None of the warriors could probably deny they recall such fond memories in being able to spend their days peacefully in the camp and having avoided growing up in the uncertain times of Bloodclan. Such times left a dark mark on their history but no more. As for Thymepaw, his dark mark was that no one seemed to know the full truth of where he came from. He had known by now from Hawkheart that he was not born in Sunclan but had been found abandoned, his only siblings dead from who knows what and no sign of his mother. And some even gave him wary looks since there had been one rumor stating he was actually half Moorclan and he bore a resemblance to one tom in particular who was now deceased. It made him dread the day he might cross someone who did know the Moorclan warrior but he tried to push those thoughts aside. Even that was difficult. Shaking his head he quickly smiled and winked at Creampaw, " Watch." He told her before he came around to face Aspenkit, getting down in crouch as he flicked his tail playfully. " Hey Aspenkit, think you can catch an apprentice? I hear your fast, but bet you aren't fast enough to catch me!" Thymepaw said in a playful, teasing tone as he gently swiped the mossball as an additional motivation and began bounding away across the camp clearing though slow enough she wouldn't lose him entirely. Creampaw
Tags: @tundra Other: They can be half-breed buddies together!
Creampaw continued to keep one eye on her sister, while still speaking with Thymepaw. The good thing about having these kits in her life, is now she was so much better when it came to multitasking. She was constantly watching them, and doing something else. The other day she was watching Aspenkit and trying to groom her brother at the same time. Not an easy task with an overeager kit. The funny part came when it was Aspenkit's turn for a groom. She was no where near as well behaved as the other kit.
"Yeah, I know. But usually I got out of that somehow...they said I had too much energy to be around the kits and was making them stir crazy." Creampaw grinned. She had been chased out of the nursery before quite a few times, since she tended to make the kits even more excitable. Which is ironically also how she was able to get out of elder duty. She was too high energy and couldn't sit still long enough to help. But since becoming a queen, she understood more what it mean to conserve her energy.
But the tom seemed persistent, maybe she could let him try to watch them one time. Her paws were itching to get out and hunt, or do something. He would need help, there was no way she would leave both kits with him, that would be way too much. Thymepaw was slowly working his way in, and for Creampaw that was a major thing. And here he was playing with her sister. She couldn't help but smile at what she was seeing.
Aspenkit
Aspenkit was so into her game of bat the mossball, that she almost didn't hear Thymepaw talking to her. Her ears perked up at her name and she tilted her head to the side. An apprentice wanted to play with her? One that wasn't her mother! This was fun! "I get you." she nodded to herself, glaring at the tom. How dare he say she wasn't fast enough to catch him! She was the fastest kit in the nursery! Even her mother had trouble catching up to her sometimes.
With a mewl of delight, she bounded off after Thymepaw, her tiny kit legs moving as quickly as they could. Although she was still small, and found herself tripping over her own paws frequently. She still hadn't quite grown into her body yet. Aspenkit was now determined to catch him, forgetting about her mossball and her mother momentarily.
